Just watched John on the David Letterman show. He seemed quite relaxed this time and got in a couple good zingers on David. He is sporting a casual unshaven look and has let his hair grow. Perhaps for a new movie.

This visit was a promo for PUSHING TIN, to be released on APRIL 23. and he was able to get in a quick one liner about THE JACK BULL, airing Friday night on HBO.

On Fri. April 9, our Chicago reporter attended the Premiere of THE JACK BULL, in Chicago. Here is her report.

Hi Molly,

It's been very busy for me since Friday. Here's my report.

Lots of people. Red carpet into the First National Bank building. I
arrived late so I don't know what went on before the screening. Be
prepared for a sad, but poignant movie.

Spago was great. Upstairs. Lots and lots of people. Of the Cusacks, I
saw John and Joan and Dick. He was there with his family. I didn't see Neve at the screening or at the
party.

From Reuters: Wednesday April 7 2:01 AM ET Cusack, Zahn head to ``Party'' By Dan Cox HOLLYWOOD (Variety) - John
Cusack (``Grosse Pointe Blank'') and Steve Zahn (``Happy, Texas'') are in final talks to star in ``Life of the Party,'' an indie-style
comic drama. The Columbia Pictures project is about a group of concerned friends who travel to France to do an intervention on
their alcoholic friend (Cusack). Zahn will play Cusack's best friend. Shooting is set to begin this fall in New York and France.
Greg Mottola (``Daytrippers'') is directing from his own script. By September, Cusack will have finished shooting ``High Fidelity''
for director Stephen Frears at Disney. His credits include ``Say Anything'' and ``The Grifters.'' Zahn will segue from ``Shining
New Enemies,'' which he's starring in for Swedish directors Pontus Lowenhielm and Patrick Von Krusenstjerna. His feature films
include ``Out of Sight,'' ``SubUrbia'' and ``That Thing You Do!'' Reuters/Variety

in downtown Chicago.

6:00 Cocktail hour

7:00 Screening

9:00 after party at Spago

I'm not sure if both John and Dick Cusack will be there. Frankly, I'm
guessing they won't be. It is not a benefit screening; only promotional............

Dick Cusack. The HBO film airs April 17. ...

Sorry, all my invitations have been spoken for. I'll let you know how it

there's a pagelong article on the pre-production of Fox
Television's
miniseries of "A People's History of the United States."

This is
the book by "lefty historian" Howard Zinn that was mentioned in
"Good Will Hunting," and the TV adaptation will attempt to
dramatize
"the individual exploits of average Americans caught up in major
historical moments."

The series will run 10-12 hours, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are
co-producing it, and the aricle goes on to state that "John
Cusack
and Danny Glover are negotiating for roles." There's your
collaboration.

More than 600 guests enjoyed an evening of heart-healthy gourmet dining,
dancing to the music of Stanley Paul and his orchestra, live and silent auctions
and a raffle at the American Heart Association's annual fund-raiser held recently
at the Chicago Hilton and Towers.

Chaired by Maryjeanne Burke, the gala honored American Airlines for its
placement of AED's--heart-resuscitating devices on its planes--which helped
save the lives of three passengers. American Airlines is the only U.S. airline that
carries these life-saving defibrillators.

Following a bidding war for an auction prize, actress Joan Cusack hugged Jim
Riley, who paid big bucks for a walk-on role in "High Fidelity," a film written
by her brother John Cusack. The movie will be shot in Chicago from April
through June.

The party raised more than $400,000 for a clinical research investigatorship and
a heart education program for students from preschool through eighth grade.

It will be a busy spring for filmmakers shooting in Chicago and the
suburbs. John Cusack's ``High Fidelity'' also is scheduled to go before
the cameras in April. ... While the pilot for sister Joan Cusack's
long-awaited Carsey-Warner sitcom apparently will be taped in Los
Angeles, the plan still stands to shoot the series in Chicago, if it
gets picked up.

This is the book by "lefty historian" Howard Zinn that was mentioned in "Good Will Hunting," and the TV adaptation will attempt to dramatize "the individual exploits of average Americans caught up in major historical moments."

The series will run 10-12 hours, Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are co-producing it, and the aricle goes on to state that "John Cusack and Danny Glover are negotiating for roles." There's your collaboration.
